This beautiful soul was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with an independent spirit, a creative mind, and a contagious joy for life. Annie’s passion for art emerged very early on. As a young child, she could be found drawing by the window, painting on the walls of her home, and taking photos of animals, flowers, and people. In art Annie found freedom, empowerment, and a way of expressing her love for the world around her. From her earliest days, she also found her greatest joy in caring for those around her.
Annie honed her art skills at Bennett University in Brazil, where she studied art education. She moved to the United States in 1988 and worked as a graphic designer, photographer, and as an art teacher at Burgundy Farm Country Day School. More recently Annie has studied at The Yellow Barn Studio & Gallery, The Art League and The Delaplaine Arts Center. As a professional artist, Annie’s art has been featured in multiple exhibits throughout Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia including, most recently the Frederick Health Crestwood Gallery and The Art League. Annie has received a bachelors of science in Psychology.
